About SFE Who We Are |
The SFE is comprised of fire managers, scientists, program administrators, outreach and extension specialists, landowners, and educators from the southern pine region. The consortium is led by the University of Florida, North Carolina State University, Tall Timbers Research Station, and the US Forest Service Interface South. Click here to contact SFE leaders and staff. A Steering Committee and Advisory Board representing more than 20 different organizations or agencies provide leadership, strategic direction, and approval for SFE activities and priorities.
As the South has a long history of fire science delivery and outreach, the SFE has multiple partners from non-profit organizations, federal and state agencies, and other fire-related groups.
