SUMMARY:Pine Rockland Working Group Virtual Symposium
DESCRIPTION:Since 1998\, people who manage\, research and conserve pine rocklands have convened every other year to learn from one another about how to best manage this globally critically imperiled ecosystem. This year\, in the interest of preventing COVID19 transmission\, the Pine Rockland Working Group meeting will be a virtual experience. Invited talks will be scheduled over Week 1 of the conference (October 19-23 & 30).  Week 2 of the conference (October 26-30) will feature virtual field trips to several pine rockland destinations. \nSpeakers will describe what they (or their agency) have accomplished over 22+ years working in pine rocklands. SUMMARY:North Carolina & Virginia Forest Landowner Conference
DESCRIPTION:The purpose of the North Carolina & Virginia Forest Landowner Conference is to inform and educate landowners on strategies for estate planning; on programs and technical assistance available through state forestry agencies\, U.S. Department of Agriculture agencies\, and local timber industry. Three 90‐minute sessions will focus on financial assistance\, taxation and economic opportunities.
