With increasing wildfire risks for many comes the reality that preparedness is a year-round endeavor. However\, reducing your risk can be affordable and practical. Research from the Insurance Institute for Business & Home Safety (IBHS) shows a variety of low-cost\, do-it-yourself actions can reduce common structural vulnerabilities and increase the chances of a home or business surviving a wildfire. Wildfire experts from IBHS will join NFPA on May 20 (10-11 AM PDT) to outline how affordable weekend projects can have a significant impact on your wildfire risks.
