The 6th Women-in-Fire Prescribed Fire Training Exchange (WTREX), will take place next year (February 20-March 3, 2023) in southeastern North Carolina. Please see the below PDF announcement, which includes more information and a link to the online application form. Also, see below for a four-page document from 2019 that gives some background on WTREX, and you can check out the 2022 WTREX StoryMap.

Please share this announcement far and wide, and encourage people of all backgrounds, genders, and professional affiliations to apply! Though WTREX has a focus on women in fire, the coordinators are truly committed to bringing together as diverse a group as possible, including men, non-binary people, international participants, and people from all walks of life.

Applications are due November 18, 2022. If you have any questions, contact Jennifer Fawcett at NC State University Extension Forestry ([email protected]).
