The innovative Prescribed Burn Planner developed by the Southern Group of State Foresters is now live and available for the free public use. This online tool allows prescribed burn managers to define burn unit locations and burn parameters within an online web app. Once defined and saved, the tool will automatically track predicted NOAA NWS weather forecasts and notify the user when predicted weather conditions align with their burn parameters for a specific location.
