AFE Adds New Fuels Certification

The Association for Fire Ecology Professional Certification Subcommittee has announced the addition of 5 new certifications for those working in wildland fuels: Wildland Fuels Technician, Wildland Fuels Manager, Senior Wildland Fuels Manager, Wildland Fuels Scientist, and Senior Wildland Fuels Scientist.

A set of core competencies can be used in lieu of the academic degree for the Fuels Technician and Fuels Management certifications, and required experience varies by certification level.
