The Wildland Fire Lessons Learned Center recently released the results of a short study investigating reports of dangerously exploding Dragon Egg plastic ignition spheres. In some instances, the Dragon Eggs may physically explode instead of igniting as intended. The explosions have been described as sounding like a small caliber firearm cartridge with eggs rocketing into the air.
