Job: Longleaf Alliance Wetland Ecosystem Support Team


The Wetland Ecosystem Support Team (WEST), consisting of a Senior Team Member and three other Team Members, was developed to support restoration of isolated wetlands in the GCPEP landscape. Priority work by the WEST centers on habitat restoration of wetlands for threatened and endangered species using chainsaws and brush cutters. Additional restoration will include invasive species control and prescribed fire. Priority work areas include Eglin Air Force Base, Escribano Point Wildlife Management Area, Garcon Point Water Management Area, Yellow River Marsh Preserve State Park, and Blackwater River State Forest. The position is a full-time position. Schedules and work locations can change often during a work week. Hourly wage for this position is $15.00/hour plus benefits including paid PTO/Sick/Holiday time, an insurance allowance and participation in a Simple IRA plan.
