Webinar Description: This webinar will discuss the applications, benefits, and major components of memorandums of understanding (MOU) and other formal agreements developed to support organization-level prescribed fire programs. By examining these agreements through a collective action approach, it can be seen how these agreements may be used to increase acreage burned and overcome potential bureaucratic and economic barriers to implementing prescribed fire. The second part of the webinar will include a presentation and discussion by Shan Cammack about the Georgia DNR Interagency Burn Team MOU. The IBT MOU has been credited with increasing prescribed fire use in Georgia. Following the presentations there will be time for audience Q/A with the speakers.
